Acorns and Oaks felt garland

Autumn, strung on a string. Oak leaves in muted green alternate with plump little acorns, each one cut from soft wool felt and finished with hand embroidered details: veins on the leaves, a stitched cap on every acorn.

It takes the place of a real branch of leaves without the crumbling, the sweeping, or the sad November droop. Drape it along a mantelpiece, hang it above a cot, loop it across a playroom shelf or a doorway. It folds away in tissue at the end of the season and comes out looking exactly the same next year.

Made by hand, so no two garlands are quite identical. That is rather the point.
